This calculator provides preliminary design per IS 3370 (Parts I & II). For overhead tanks, seismic and wind loads must be considered (IS 875, IS 1893). For large tanks (>20m span or >5m depth), finite element analysis or detailed moment coefficients from SP 16 are required. Always verify with a qualified structural engineer.
